Yeshua (Jesus) has called us to be lights, difference-makers in this world. He asks us to intentionally put our light where it can be seen by others (Matthew 5:14-16). Our light is simply Him in us!

Regarding the upcoming election, we cannot just say, “God is sovereign, so whatever will be will be; He already knows who will win,” and sit back and wait to see what happens, because, although the earth is just a speck of dust in this large universe, He is the One Who chose the earth to be inhabited by people, and He chose us to be His hands and feet and voice to carry out His purposes in this world. He chose us to wave His banner by stemming the tide of evil. He asks us to engage within our sphere to bring about His kingdom and will on earth as it is in heaven as best as we can. We have a part in what happens next.

When the prophet Hanani confronted king Asa about his negligence to seek God, Hanani wisely declared a message for us all,

“The eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is complete His” (2 Chronicles 16:9). 

We must seek God and choose His way. A vote is simply a choice; to not vote is also a choice. Neither candidate is perfect, but their names are associated with a platform of proposed policies that are starkly opposite. One promotes evil; the other promotes righteousness and justice. One party promotes everything God hates; the other promotes life, justice, health, truth, freedom, and peace.

Here are just a few of the many critical issues facing us:

Let’s choose against:  Abortion up until birth and beyond
Let’s choose for:  Helping mothers guard their health and save their babies

Let’s choose against:  Imprisonment without just trial
Let’s choose for:  Free and fair trials

Let’s choose against:  Toxic food and toxic education in the schools
Let’s choose for:  School choice and healthy, available food

Let’s choose against:  Sexualization and mutilation of our children without parental consent
Let’s choose for:  Safety for our children to grow in His love and within the family structure God created

Let’s choose against:  Criminalization of righteous living
Let’s choose for:  Freedom to express our love of God

Let’s choose against:  Increased government control
Let’s choose for:  Decreased government control

Let’s choose against:  Restriction of free speech
Let’s choose for:  Freedom to speak

Let’s choose against:  Wasteful wars that bring destruction and death and benefit no one
Let’s choose for:  Negotiation that brings peace

Let’s choose against:  Allowance of criminals with wrong motives to storm our borders
Let’s choose for:  Vetting (a careful examination) of people who want to live with us, people of all races welcome
