I AM the Living Water

I Am the Living Water
Whoever thirsts, come to Me and drink.

Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will shout for joy. For waters will break forth in the wilderness and streams in the Arabah.

The scorched land will become a pool and the thirsty ground springs of water. (Isaiah 35:5-7)

Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.  (Isaiah 55:1)

He brought forth streams from the rock and caused waters to run down like rivers. (Psalm 78:16) ...and the rock was Christ. (1 Corinthians 10:3d)

On the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirst, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes on Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:37-38)

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life freely. (Revelation 22:17)

Jesus did not actually say the words, "I am the Living Water," however, He implied them in the verses above from John 7. Truly, Jesus is the Living Water to our thirsty souls!

I created the original letters "Living Water" for Warner Press for a 1994 calendar. I created the letters to flow like water. Then, in 2015 when I was creating the I AMs of Jesus Art Card Collection, I recreated these same letters with turquoise watercolor and the additional, smaller letters with a pointed pen. The chiseled "I Am" was drawn and painted with blue-gray watercolor to show the contrast and beauty of His eternal omniscience and power, as well as His flowing life!
