Passover

Saved by the Blood
On the night that Jesus was betrayed, He celebrated the Passover with His disciples. He Himself became our Passover Lamb. The Passover card celebrates God’s deliverance for us through Yeshua’s blood. The card includes the artist’s notes and a celebration greeting on the inside. Here is some of the text included on the back of the card:

Passover is celebrated each year on the first full moon of spring. It is a memorial to the Lord’s deliverance of His people from their cruel bondage in Egypt. Moses gave instruction to the people to prepare them for their day of deliverance.

Each family was to kill a spotless lamb, apply its blood to the lintel and doorposts of their houses with hyssop, then roast the lamb and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. They were to be girded to flee in the morning. Messiah Yeshua is the Lamb that was slain for all humankind. He was killed at the same time the lambs were being slaughtered for the Passover that year.

Adonai, the Lord, said, “When I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.” Exodus 12:13

When we receive Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew), His blood covers the doorposts of our hearts, and we are delivered from judgment, the bondage of our rebellion, the power of sin, and death. Messiah Yeshua is The Great Deliverer, The Bread of Life Who brings us into His glorious grace.

“He was pierced for our transgression and crushed for our iniquities. The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed.”  Isaiah 53:5

“Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.”  Revelation 5:12

Worshipping and rejoicing with you in our deliverance through Yeshua!

The Passover Art Card is also sold with Hebrew letters on the front in a 4-Pack.

The artwork for the Passover card was created with watercolor that was repelled by the masking fluid that was later peeled off to reveal the white clouds underneath. The cross and blood swashes were created with a lavender twig from my garden, since the hyssop was too dry to use at the time.
