White as snow

How are your sins like scarlet?

“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool.”  Isaiah 1:18

The White as snow Art Card is available as a 4-Pack here at Flower Girl Greetings.

The text on the back is:
The Hebrew words for crimson and scarlet come from the same Hebrew root word tôlā meaning worm. This word refers to the kermes insect whose eggs provided a brilliant red pigment known for its permanency.

So, what we read in Isaiah 1:18 is:  Though your sins have left a stain as permanent as the dye made from the kermes’ eggs, I will remove every trace of the stain of your sin.

The Lord chose to lay our sin on Messiah Jesus, so we are forgiven with no trace of a stain, white as snow!

“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

Praising Him with you,
Beth Ann
