April – I am Forgiven
Forgiven is the Hebrew nāśā and means lifted, taken away.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us. Ephesians 1:7 ­

The Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many as He will bear their iniquities. Isaiah 53:11b

John saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29

When we receive Jesus the Messiah, our Father God brings us into an eternal, intimate, covenant relationship with Himself by the Holy Spirit. He gives us names that describe our identity as those who have been born again into His family. They remain constant even though the clouds of our feelings, circumstances, weakness, grief, failure, and emotions may hide their reality. We have this hope as an anchor of our souls, a hope both sure and steadfast...(Hebrews 6:19)

I am Forgiven.

His sacrifice has washed away our guilt and shame and given us tender hearts that can receive His rain.

The prophet Jeremiah spoke the word of the Lord: “ ‘Behold, days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel... I will put My law within them and write it on their heart... ’ ” (Jeremiah 31:31-34)

When we are born again, God takes the stony heart out of us and replaces it with a new soft heart that desires Him. (Ezekiel 36:26)

When Jesus Christ paid our debt on the cross, He not only took away the penalty for our sin, but He took away its power, giving us freedom to walk in new life. (Romans 6:4; 8:9-11)

As His children if we sin, it is because we allow ourselves to follow old patterns rather than living in the reality of who we are now in Him. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

You are a gracious, merciful and generous God! I cannot praise You enough for giving me Your life, love and forgiveness in exchange for my sin and waywardness. I love you with all my heart, mind, soul and strength.
