He brings forth springs in the midst of the valleys;

In the valleys, God’s presence brings springs of refreshing until that time when we are through the valley and walking up the mountain again.

My mother invited me over one day in October 1999 to experiment with Ukrainian Ink Dyes in her back yard. These dyes were colorful, powdered, and intense. We sprinkled them on watercolor paper and used various water sprays to push them across the paper, such as jet streams and soft mists to create special effects.

The original artwork for this greeting card was created by painting the letters onto heavy cotton paper with art masking fluid. This fluid repelled the vibrant powdered Ukrainian ink dyes that were sprinkled onto the paper and sprayed with water. The colors soaked underneath the masked letters because I left it out in the rain.

A little more history about this card
During my recovery after a nervous breakdown in 1998, the entire Psalm 104 became special to me, especially the verse on this card. I found peace as I read about His care for His creation. This verse is also painted on the wall in my foyer (see the picture below).
